A little bit of Madness

So this is my little bit of madness, and I'm going to vent a bit here. If you are overly sensitive, you may want to step away, because this post will be riddled with venom and hatred of selfish stupidity.

As a guild we have an amazing number of tools for communication, yet astoundingly people fail to use these tools. We spend hundreds a year on webhosting for a website that only a fraction of our members use, and a smaller fraction use effectively. Despite being required reading, we have members who don't bother visiting... I'd imagine these are the same folks who don't read their paystubs, and don't read contracts they sign, and they cry about it later when it bites them in the ass.

Seriously, we have an entire forum dedicated to policy and procedure, and I've spent many hours in collaboration with our leaders to ensure it's fair and just... and we have fucktard primadonnas who quit the guild because they don't bother reading... even beyond that, because they don't bother listening to Ventrilo. Even though I spend hours writing this shit, I repeat it verbally for the M&S who don't bother...

Then... after they ragequit... they fucking say "omg I'm so sorry, I misunderstood... can we just go back to how it was?" So it used to be we would just say yes... but not this time. We are a new fucking animal here, and the leadership has voted... we would rather not raid, than fuck around with this bullshit.

The new world is upon us, we now pay players for their blood sweat and tears... we repair their gear, provide their consumables, and enhance their new epics... and in return we expect nothing short of excellence. We have started off small in this endeavor, but the bar will rise, and expectations will as well.

If you don't have the fucking stones, get out of the quarry.

So now raiders have to come to raid, and sit out and be happy that they get their EP for the night... they aren't allowed to bitch that they aren't raiding, because they will get their turn. We will balance raids for success, and we won't raid if we can't, we wont even fucking try if we aren't confident we have the tools to do it.

If for some reason you can't pull your weight, it's not the raids problem, and you'll be sat, and one of those happy standby soldiers will replace you. If for some reason you can't attend, then that's not our problem either, and the guys who can will be raiding, and you get to wait in line to earn your slot back when you return (Assuming your EP falls below their EP, you have to sit until yours passes theirs.)

Oddly enough, I feel better for having vented...
