So you have all heard us going on and on about it, and some of you may wonder why in gods name would anyone pay this much for a headset... I haven't even turned mine on and heard the quality, but I can tell you that it's worth it just from what I've seen so far.
Below you will see the unboxing process, starting with my trying to flag down the Fedex truck on the way to work... if he would have stopped, I'd have had these just that much sooner!

The package is normally awesome on products, the finished product is always a letdown compared to the box... in this case I'm impressed that the packaging was not only very impressive, well designed and easy to access, but I'm confident I could put everything back inside how I found it! The quality of the components found inside certainly reflects the attention to detail found in the packaging.
The headset has a great feel to it, very light yet very sturdy. I don't feel as if this is a toy made of plastic, but rather a quality headset with a good balance between construction and comfort. The lenses come off as easy as can be, they provide a tool but in the event you lose it, a small flat head screwdriver will do the trick... as would probably a paperclip or any other number of small flat devices.
I plugged the headset into my USB here at work and was greeted by oscilating red/blue lights. While the headset comes default with Alliance lenses I had already switched them out, while examining the headset I noticed the power button was the horde logo (see, even Creative knows the real power).
Anyhow, further review will have to wait as I can't exactly fire up the software here at work.
